We are very fortunate here at Cush'n Soft to know Jenny Pride, a wonderfully gifted artist based in the Hawkesbury region just a few streets away from our factory store. Jenny kindly agreed to help us develop our Fine Arts Series, so with a scant brief from us to guide her, Jenny retreated to her studio and returned weeks later with a series of drawings and paintings that exceeded our wildest expectations. Then with the expertise and talents of Shivaun and Amon Leis at Peter Leis Screen Printing in Leichhardt, the Fine Arts Series was born. I'm sure you'll agree that they will add beauty to any home.
A word from Jenny Pride
I grew up and live in the Historic town of Windsor and was always surrounded by a multitude of animals; horses, guinea pigs, dogs, frogs, tame magpies, and rescued kangaroos. These beautiful animals inspired my love of nature and admiration for our animal companions. I was fortunate to live near miles of bush trails where I spent endless hours exploring in solitude with my beloved horses. There was time to listen to the voice, and absorb the scents of Nature and hear hooves splash through creeks while Black Cockies called overhead. So many sensory gifts touched my life.
My passion is drawing; its absolute simplicity is both its gift, and its challenge. The gift is the instant communication from head and heart to hand and paper. The challenge is to be constantly present with the work and to 'leave the world behind' thus allowing inspiration to flood in. I hope I have achieved this for the Fine Art Series in the wonderful Cush'n Soft range.
